Our Sports Day is coming up next week. Parents are of course welcome to come along. There are even some events for you to take part along with your child. So we hope you are all ready for the fun!
This morning it was 2 Grey's turn to take assembly. The main theme was celebrating teachers day. 2 Grey sang this great song as part of their assembly.
This morning our Year 2 students gave a very informative assembly on ways to improve how we live. Learning to recycle and properly disposing of litter were some of the key messages. They finished their assembly by singing this lovely song, which we have a short video to share with you all.
It is always great to see when students are keen to attend school. That certainly applies to this big group of students. They were present for every day of school last term, which is a fantastic achievement!
Yesterday our Year 1 & 2 students put on some lovely musical performances as part of Performing Arts Day. We have a short video to share of the activity.
Last week our Year 1 & 2 students made a fantastic effort for their respective open days. Year 1 students successfully ran the Waves Cafe, which parents were able to visit. The proceeds from the cafe were invested in the tree house play set. Our Year 2 students gave an informative presentations on the solar system. We recognized the brilliant effort our students made at yesterdays assembly. Presenting our star performers with certificates for their performances.

It has been a busy time in Lower Primary recently. Therefore our weekly assembly took place this afternoon instead of it's usual Monday slot. We had 2 weeks worth of stars of the week awards to catch up on. So congratulations to this big group of hard working students!

We are all gearing up for tomorrow's annual International Understanding(IU) Day. The theme this year is Wonders of the World! We have chosen India with the Taj Mahal, Egypt with the Pyramids of Giza, Italy with the Colosseum, and Peru with Machu Picchu. As always there will be for sale a wide variety of food and drinks to discover, souvenirs to collect and exciting games to play. This year, all proceeds will be donated to:
1. Independent Living and Training Centre Malaysia (ILTC)
2. Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary KL
3. Spina Bifida Association Malaysia (SIBIAM)

We have had a busy morning in Lower Primary today. First we had a fire drill, which we are pleased to say was very efficient. The entire school had successfully evacuated the building in 5 minutes, which is within the recommended time. Following on from this, we welcomed the Sungai Buloh fire brigade to school for a demonstration on fire safety. Lastly our students got to peek inside the fire engine itself!
Our Reception classes have been learning about different cultures & countries recently. Therefore, today for assembly they sang a song which included the many ways to say hello in different languages. They were also able to name all the countries flags in their assembly. What a fantastic effort by our students!
Today our Year 1 & 2 students were fortunate to have a talk by Malaysian author Teoh Choon Ean. Also known as Granny Ean. We have a little video to share with you from her talk. If anyone would like to purchase one of her books they are on sale in the main Secondary block 1st floor MPH room. The Book fair finishes tomorrow on Thursday 8th.
This week we will have a very special book fair in school in conjunction with MHP bookstore. Alongside the many books we will have on sale there will be meet the author events. For Lower Primary, the author Ms Teoh Choon Ean will be doing a special reading for Year 1 & 2 students on Wednesday 7th March in the LPMPH room. Parents are welcome to attend the book fair.
This morning our assembly was invaded by animals. Our year 2 students had some brilliant costumes to explain how we can all protect animals through conservation.
This big group of students were present for every day of school in term 1.
Congratulations for a fantastic effort hopefully you all can continue it for term 2.
This week our Year 1 & 2 students have been working very hard creating a wide variety of activities for all students & teachers to take part in. Year 2 students put together a famous people exhibition. Student gave presentations on some of their favourite people. Year one students got to have fun learning all about the history of toys and how they are made. This was a great way to finish the term.

Earlier this term some of students took part in the Jumping Jellybeans production of Bon Voyage as part of the KL Arts Festival. Today at assembly they received these posters as a token of appreciation for their efforts.
This morning as part of reading week we were delighted to welcome to school the author of the book Why Jellybeans Are Colourful. We are very grateful to Shantini Venugopal for taking to time to come read to our students and answer all their questions.
Parents please note our workshop scheduled for tomorrow Sat 28th October has been postponed till later in the term.
We hope everyone enjoyed the mid term break. This morning some of Year 1 students gave a brilliant assembly on rhyming words.
We held our first assembly of the new academic year today(Monday 11th). It was a nice opportunity to introduce our new students & teachers to everyone in Lower Primary. We also recognised the efforts of our students who attended everyday of school in term 3 last academic year, fantastic effort everyone!
